I have grown fond of the ocean, and passionate about surfing. My approach is prioritized, beginning with a short prayer, assuring my intentions are considerate and purposeful. I recite my goals, reminisce on happy thoughts, and sing some damn good tunes to get me going.
*Dehydration can creep up so be sure to hydrate plenty, regardless of how brisk the water feels.
Acknowledge your presence as a guest in the deep blue territory and respect it as you'd demand from visitors coming into your own home.
Remember, sharks sense fear.
